Hi, my name is Katelynn and I’m reaching out for 2 purposes. The first is to raise awareness about a disease called Endometriosis that 6.5 million women have in the United States and yet there is very little research, lack of education and treatment is typically not covered by insurance. This brings me to the 2nd purpose, I have dealt with debilitating pain, seen multiple doctors, and have had multiple ER visits yearly since the onset of my period at age 15. This disease has also caused me to be let go from great job opportunities as well as derailing my college education and career goals. As dim as that all sounds, all hope is not lost. There are literally a handful of specialist that offer surgery for Endometriosis and through an abundance of answered prayers, there is one near me. I have met with her and am scheduled for surgery on September 8th. The total cost is close to $18,000 and insurance will not cover it. I’m asking first for your prayers and also for you to consider giving towards my medical expenses so I can reclaim my life and fulfill the purposes God has for me on this earth.
